Microscopic Slides

Microscope Slides includes Frosted Slides, Plain Slides and Coloured Slides. All of our slides come with ground edges, ensuring safety during usage. What sets our slides apart from those of our competitors is our attention to detail, resulting in higher quality. We ensure that all of our slides are of consistent dimensions as stipulated in IS3099, that the cleaning process is thorough, and that the grinding, frosting and colouring is done to a high standard of quality. The resulting slides are completely clean, have smooth edges without any burring, and are packed in a lint free and moisture free environment.

A microscope slide is a thin flat piece of glass, typically 76 x 26 mm (3 by 1 inches) and about 1 mm thick, used to hold objects for examination under a microscope. Typically the object is placed or secured (mounted) on the slide, and then both are inserted together in the microscope for viewing.

A standard microscope slide measures about 75 mm by 25 mm (3″ by 1″) and is about 1 mm thick. A range of other sizes are available for various special purposes, such as 75 x 50 mm for geological use, 46 x 27 mm for petrographic studies, and 48 x 28 mm for thin sections.

The slides are used mainly for microscopic investigation of tissue sections and cells from suspensions, preparation of specimens and their archiving.
